Creative Intention

Everyone was born creative. Yes, everyone. Some people just didn’t continue to exercise their creativity muscle. Or worse yet, they stuffed it down inside because the world bombarded them with statements like, color in the lines, because I said so, follow the leader, quit doodling and pay attention, you’re not doing it right, quit trying to reinvent the wheel, that’s the way we’ve always done it, and on and on and on. But I am here to tell you it’s not too late. You can be more creative and I can help. I will be offering workshops soon to help you shake the dust off and awaken your creativity.

Until then, here’s a popular exercise to get you started:
Spend five uninterrupted minutes writing. It doesn’t matter what you write about, just write whatever comes to mind for the full five minutes. This brain-dump activity helps you release the clutter and busy state of your mind making room for more creative thoughts. Some say it is best done first thing in the morning to start your day fresh. Enjoy!
